Dance Floor Malaysia was founded by May Tan — a mother, a dancer, and a passionate teacher. At only 19 years old, May turned her love for dance and teaching into a vision: to create a space where anyone could step onto the floor and discover confidence through movement.

Seventeen years ago, Dance Floor began as a modest 1,500 sq ft single-storey studio. Guided by the belief that “Everyone Can Dance,” it has since grown into three thriving branches across Setia Alam, Bukit Tinggi, and Kota Kemuning. What started as one person’s dream has now become a professional team of over 35 dedicated members, all working hand in hand to nurture dancers and bring the love of dance to even greater stages.

Through the years, our students have not only shined locally but have proudly represented Malaysia on international platforms — performing and competing in China, Korea, Egypt, Portugal, Vietnam, and Thailand. These journeys reflect our mission: to cultivate talent, build confidence, and create opportunities that reach far beyond the studio walls.

Today, Dance Floor Malaysia is more than a dance academy. It is a community of passion and growth, where beginners and advanced performers alike can find their rhythm, pursue their goals, and shine with confidence. With award-winning programs, experienced instructors, and a supportive team, we are committed to helping every student tell their story through dance.
